Catching Closure Installation

As part of ‘Collateral Damage Below’, a vintage fishing net holds reflective mirror shards, dead coral fragments, plastic zip ties and assorted hand mirrors with degraded prints of marine life on one side. When installed in the ‘Reimagined Elements’ exhibition, cathartic words written on rice paper, expired credit cards and clothing strips were suspended from fishing lines. ‘Catching Closure’ is a site-specific installation with a layered and evolving meaning.
